Michael Bomhoff - Executive Director
Michael Bomhoff serves as the Executive Director of New Discoveries Inc., bringing a visionary approach to preserving and sharing human history on a global scale. With a deep passion for innovation and cultural heritage, Michael leads the organization’s mission to connect people with history through cutting-edge technologies, immersive museum experiences, and a vast network of partnerships with national and international institutions.
Michael’s diverse professional background spans technology, AI, logistics, operations, and strategic leadership, equipping him with the skills to guide New Discoveries Inc. into its next phase of growth. With an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Hawaii, Michael combines business acumen with a deep understanding of cultural heritage to guide New Discoveries into a transformative future. Under his leadership, the nonprofit is building its flagship museum in Florida, focused on colonial era shipwrecks, while simultaneously forging global partnerships to create a first of-its-kind global virtual museum.
Michael’s experience spans the worlds of both the past and the future. Michael was part of the University of Hawaii’s research work on Rapa Nui, as well as conducting field work on various Hawaiian Heiau sites across multiple islands. In technology Michael was a pioneer of applied AI bringing the first virtual assistant to the P&C Insurance sector. His work in rapid deployment of AI systems, speech to text, text to speech was documented by IBM in publications. Currently Michael has married both worlds by applying advanced AI modeling on historical documents from the Archives of the Indies, bringing new understanding and meaning to the documents.

With a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and a dedication to excellence, he is poised to position New Discoveries Inc. as a leader in the preservation and access of humanity’s most treasured artifacts.
Marc Geriene - Special Projects Director
Marc Geriene serves as the Special Projects Director of New Discoveries Inc., where he is responsible for forging relationships across the globe and leading key initiatives that advance the organization’s mission to preserve and share history. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, Marc drives transformative projects that enhance New Discoveries’ global reach and influence.
Marc is the co-inventor of the Nova Ray® ROV, a groundbreaking technology in underwater exploration, and the co-author of the Amazon Best Seller “Finding Your Treasure Without Losing Yourself”. His technical expertise and passion for storytelling enable him to connect with a wide range of partners and audiences.
With a forward-thinking approach, Marc plays an instrumental role in shaping New Discoveries Inc. into a global leader in history preservation, ensuring its mission resonates across generations and continents. His dedication to innovation and meaningful connections drives the organization’s ongoing success.
Krist Geriene - Vice President & Secretary
Krist Geriene serves as the Vice President and Secretary of New Discoveries Inc., where he provides strategic oversight and ensures organizational governance in alignment with the nonprofit’s mission. With a focus on operational excellence and collaboration, Krist plays a key role in developing global partnerships and advancing New Discoveries’ initiatives to preserve and share history.
An Entrepreneur, Author, Explorer, ROV Pilot, Professional Diver, Krist has managed expedition vessels, survey equipment, crew, and the execution of marine operations on many expeditions in search of shipwrecks. His work includes the engineering development and field-testing of cutting-edge ROV technology.
Krist’s multifaceted expertise supports the creation of immersive museum experiences and the establishment of a global network of institutions, reinforcing New Discoveries Inc.’s commitment to making history accessible and engaging for all. His dedication to innovation and teamwork helps drive the organization’s transformative vision forward.
